Context and Purpose of the Job

RioMed is a leading clinical software company based in the UK. Our core business function is developing and delivering clinical applications. We provide customised solutions to meet the specific requirements of healthcare professionals. Our mission is to improve healthcare at the point of delivery through patient participation and real time data capture. RioMed has been delivering clinical solutions nationally and internationally since 1997, in a variety of communicable and non-communicable disease areas including, HIV, sexually transmitted disease, Osteoporosis, Elderly Care, Rheumatology, Cardiology and Diabetes.

The overall purpose of the job is to become a key member of our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in developing and managing WordPress websites, as well as using React to create modern, dynamic user interfaces. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining custom WordPress themes and plugins, optimizing site performance, and providing technical support, including SEO management.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive and dynamic websites and applications. 
• Strong knowledge of development, website security, security headers, and troubleshooting to ensure the integrity of WordPress websites.
• Design and implement new features and functionalities, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. 
• Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX wireframes into high-quality code. 
• Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality, performance & SEO. 
• Stay up to date with emerging web technologies and trends. 
• Implement SEO best practices to enhance site visibility. 
• Ensure all sites are secure, updated, and backed up regularly. 
• Manage domain, hosting, and SSL configurations.

Essential:

• Proven experience as a Website Developer or similar role. 
• Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript. 
• Experience with frameworks like WordPress, React & Vue.js 
• Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development. 
• Familiarity with WordPress themes and plugins development. 
• Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques. 
• Understanding of SEO principles and practices. 
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). 
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 

Desirable:

• Experience with popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery). 
• Familiarity with API integrations and third-party services. 
• Min 3- 5 years of experience
