Position: Project Manager

Reporting To: Projects Team Lead

Context and Purpose of the Job

The Project Manager is responsible for facilitating the planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling of RioMed’s projects.  Duties include creating project plans, tracking progress, monitoring workplan execution, and ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget. The Project Manager provides direct supervision to the Project Administrator in the execution of his/her duties.     

  • Ensure all assigned tasks and projects are completed within the timeline and quality parameters set out.  
  • Lend support to the Project Team Lead in creating and tracking the progress of project plans to ensure target number of sites are installed successfully.  
  • Engages in client meetings to obtain detailed information about their duties and processes and documenting these finding, in addition to making recommendations to the Project Team Lead and other managers.
  • Performs process improvement reviews for clients by documenting, analysing process flows for areas of deficiencies and assist in providing recommendations for improvement.  
  • Performs on-site client visits where necessary ensuring project adoption and client satisfaction.
  • Guiding change management and project management activities for clients.  
  • Establishes effective working relationships with the clients at all levels, including Government Ministries/Departments, Consultants, Contractors, and other agencies.    
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or pertaining to personal development, job enrichment and opportunities for learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Project Management or related field with Project Management courses preferred.
  • Project Management certification in either PMP or Prince2 would be considered an asset.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Project Management or IT field, preferably in the Health Care Sector of Trinidad and Tobago
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, excel, PowerPoint etc.) and Project Management techniques and software (MS Projects, Trello etc.)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Client-service oriented with the ability to develop and contribute to building strong client relationships.  
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.  
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.                                                                                                                       
  • Ability to travel and work on client sites, which may include regional and international travel.    
  • A reliable working vehicle in good condition.
